THANKSGIVING
I refused to eat turkey, not because of my politics, but because I don't want damn bird flu. This led to a lot of contention in the household; my folks just don't get it so I am forced to humor them.

I don't want damn bird flu either. That's why I've never read Chicken Soup for the Soul.
I refused the turkey after I heard that it has a drug in it that makes you sleep. Sounds a bit too much like rohypnol, which gives me headaches.
The latest research on the bird flu has found that, despite all the media hype, it is really nothing more than good old fashioned 1918 spanish flu.
You mean the "good old fashioned" global epidemic?
Thats why I quit eating mexican food, too.

Maybe if I have time one of these days I'll let you guys know about some of the other meals that my mom prepared on Thanksgiving day. All that food made me tired.
